What the quick event template does #

The quick event template gives you a faster path for adding events to My Scheduler. Rather than building every event detail from scratch, the template carries over pre-configured settings from an existing series, letting you place events on specific dates with minimal data entry.

Accessing the quick event template #

The quick event template is available inside the Browse section of My Scheduler. To get there:

  1. Open My Scheduler from the My Apps page.
  2. Select the Browse tab.
  3. Choose your Category, Event Type, and Series.
  4. Select the Quick Event Template option.

Using the template to create events #

Once the quick event template is open:

  1. Review the pre-populated event settings inherited from the selected series, including duration, instructor, and capacity.
  2. Select the date or dates on which you want to place the event.
  3. Adjust any fields that need to differ from the template defaults (for example, a one-time time change).
  4. Click Add Events to create the events.

Viewing events in the Browse section #

After creating events with the quick event template, return to the Browse view to see all scheduled instances for the selected series. From Browse you can also edit, move, or remove individual events within the series.

When to use the quick event template vs. recurring scheduling #

  • Use the quick event template when you need to place a specific event on one or a few dates without committing to a full recurring pattern.
  • Use recurring scheduling in Browse when you want to generate a full schedule of repeating events across a date range and set of days.
