What pre-sale mode does #
Pre-sale mode is an optional feature for clubs selling memberships before opening. When enabled, it replaces date fields with TBD (To Be Determined) on contracts and online enrollment.
Fields that show TBD when active #
On membership contracts
- Membership Dues - Start Date
- Membership Dues - First Due Date
- Membership Dues - End Date
- Add-Ons - First Due Date
During online enrollment
- Start Date
- First Due Date
- End Date
- Add-On First Due Date
How it works #
- In-club enrollment: staff process memberships normally; the generated contract shows TBD for applicable date fields.
- Online self-enrollment: prospective members see TBD throughout the enrollment process and on the final contract.
The actual dates remain stored in the system and are visible to authorized staff. Only member-facing displays are affected.
What happens when pre-sale mode is disabled #
Once pre-sale mode is turned off, all date fields display actual calculated dates based on the membership offer setup and the enrollment date. Historical pre-sale agreements retain TBD on their original signed contracts.
Important notes #
- TBD appears on the contract's first page covering membership dues and add-on billing.
- Both English and French Canadian versions display TBD when active.
Where to go next #
- For setting up the offers that pre-sale mode applies to, see Offers and Enrollment.
