Terms and signature tags

What signature tags do #

Signature tags let you designate custom signature locations within a digital contract. When Member Enrollment processes the contract, it replaces each tag with a signature box at that position. This allows you to require signatures in specific locations beyond the default buyer signature box.

Signature tag syntax #

The format for a signature tag is: $$$TAG_NAME_#$$$

  • Three dollar signs ($$$) are required at the beginning and end of the tag.
  • TAG_NAME is a custom identifier, typically two words separated by an underscore. Examples: MEMBER_SIGNATURE, CLUB_REP, SIGN_DATE, MEMBER_NAME.
  • The number (#) is an iteration counter used when the same tag appears more than once in the document. Example: $$$MEMBER_SIGNATURE_1$$$, $$$MEMBER_SIGNATURE_2$$$.

Important restrictions

  • Do not use the tag $$$BUYER_SIGNATURE$$$. This is a reserved system tag that automatically places a master signature box on all offers. Adding it manually will create a duplicate.
  • When the same tag name appears in multiple locations within the contract, the member only needs to sign once. The system automatically copies that signature to all matching tag locations.

Applying terms to multiple offers #

Rather than editing the terms and conditions in each offer individually, you can apply a single set of terms to multiple offers at once from Generic Terms.

  1. Navigate to Generic Terms and select the terms and conditions you want to apply across multiple offers.
  2. Select View Offer Terms on the left side to see all offers eligible to receive these terms.
  3. Select every offer that should use these terms. For payment-related terms, the Payment Term details are displayed to help you identify the correct offers.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select Apply to Offer Terms.

Warning: Applying terms from Generic Terms will replace any existing terms and conditions already saved on the selected offers. Review your selections carefully before applying.
