We have a team of exceptional individuals here at ASF. Our Employee Spotlight series highlights a different employee to give you an inside look into our company culture and the talented team you have access to as well. We ask questions about the awesome work they do here at ASF and find out a little about their lives outside of work, which we know is just as awesome.
This week, we interviewed Support Service Specialist, Jennifer Huynh.
1) How long have you been at ASF, and what are your day-to-day duties?
I have been with ASF for 5 awesome months and 12 amazing days.
I am a Support Service Specialist. My day-to-day duties are assisting both members and clients with billing/payment/account related issues, as well as acting as a help desk for clients who need assistance with My Club Business to ensure members accounts are being maintained. When given the opportunity, I get to assist other departments with projects and difficult-to-resolve issues. I love that I am always learning and challenged within my daily tasks.
2) What previous education or work experience do you have that helps you find success in your current position?
As a child I was always running around helping my parents either at home or with the family business, while also working part-time jobs and going to school. Coming from immigrant parents, hard work, discipline, and a business mindset was always instilled in me. I did everything from kitchen prep work to corporate call center (tech support to dispute resolutions), and retail sales (inventory and management). I have always been in some sort of customer service or support role, with a side of tech.
Prior to ASF, I decided to focus on building the life I wanted by starting a small consulting and writing business helping others find their best outlets. Building strong bonds and relationships while networking is what I love doing the most! My desire to help others and learn has kept me strong enough to be able to adapt in whatever situation I am in.
3) How have you seen the company strengthen its partnerships within the fitness industry and improve the software to better meet customer needs?
From my experience, the customer service and knowledge has overall just elevated. The calls are being handled efficiently and most people are extremely happy to even get to talk to ASF. With the calls being handled in an organized manner, it is much easier to determine whether the issues are with the software or just with deciphering the information that is given to us.
4) “Customer success” is a broad term. How do you define success for ASF customers?
Customer Success to me is feeling resolved. At the end of the day, I want to know I did everything in my power to truly help someone, even if it is just providing information. It is the feeling of complete satisfaction of knowing that at the end of the day, I can answer “yes” to the thought, “Did I do all I could today?” It is the feeling you get when you can hear a customer or client actually smile.
5) What ASF feature are you most proud of?
If you are speaking software, I just love the user-friendly platform. It is easy to navigate and has tons of reports features! As for ASF as a whole, I just love the work culture.
1) Outside of work, what hobbies or activities do you pursue?
I honestly love almost everything. I moved to Greeley, CO from a small town so I try to make the most out of my time. I love snowboarding, video games, camping, hiking, writing and concerts! When I am not doing any of those things, I tend to my almost 12 year old fur-baby. After living in Colorado for 10 years, my mission this year is to go boarding on the sand dunes!
2) Would you rather live for free in your dream house but it’s located in a town of under 200 people, or rent-free in a studio apartment in a major metropolitan city?
Before March 2020, I was in a studio downtown and unhappy. Today I am in a good home, away from the city and happier than ever. I would love to live in my dream home in the mountains, maybe even a log cabin.
3) What shows did you binge during covid?
This is the toughie. I love everything, but mostly comedy with a little drama and action. I also love cartoons and silly YouTube videos. It’s crazy, I know, but my partner just got me into Spongebob Squarepants this last year! We have also recently started to watch Breaking Bad again.
4) You can fly for free to any foreign city but when you arrive you only have a passport and $20 in your pocket, which city would you choose and why?
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. I have tons of family there and I haven’t visited since I was 11. $20.00 USD is $46,171.00 in Vietnamese money. I wouldn’t need to work for a year, at least.
